BACTERIAL IMBALANCES LINKED TO BREAST CANCERS
Breast cancer is the second most common cancer in women in United State. It only second to the skin cancers.
The research team has discovered for the first time that healthy breast tissue contains more of the bacterial species Methylobacterium, a finding which could offer a new perspective in the battle against breast cancer.
They have compared bacterial composition of breast tissues of healthy women vs women with breast cancer. They have also checked bacterial composition of both breast tissue and distance area of the body and they found women with breast cancers have more gram positive bacteria in the urine.
Now researches are trying to identify pro cancer bacteria from the microbiome (Bacteria that live in the body). If they will be able to find those nasty bacteria we can decrease the risk of developing breast cancers.
